Happy almost Spring Break! I have listed a number of items below for your review – food for thought while on Spring Break.

** Pack Meeting on Tuesday, April 29th – 6:30 at WPC. This is the last Pack Meeting for the year – last one for your son to receive the Bling he worked hard for this year. Leaders make sure you get all of you information loaded in Pack Master by the 25th, please.
This is also the Pack Meeting where I have to pay up to those boys who sold enough Popcorn to throw pies at me!

** Spring Family Camp Out May 2-4 at Westminster Park
This is our annual Spring camp out and a highlight of the Scout year. We will do all of the cooking as usual, all you need to do is register. You may do this on paper and send me a check or you may register on-line, similarly to registration for the Blue Gold Banquet in February. You will register your family by the meals you intend to join us for or you may register for all 4 meals. Please register the number per meal accurately so we purchase the correct amount of vittles. We will work on Belt Loops on Saturday morning and have our Rain Gutter Regatta in the afternoon. Please come for the day or for the whole weekend!

** It is time to start thinking about Summer Camps. The Palmetto Council and York District offer several opportunities – both for Day Camp and for Resident Camp (overnight). Please review the information below provided by the District:

Now is the time to register for 2014 Summer Day Camp at Westminster Park!!
You can register online at www.palmettocouncil.org under Event Registration (which is under Training). There is a discount for registering by May 15 and goodies given (t-shirt, pack, water bottle, etc. ) cannot be guaranteed available for those who register late. SO beat the deadline!!

This year’s theme is Knights of the Round Table!

Along with our old favorites like BBs and Archery, we have all new activities for our boys this year so you don’t want to miss it!!
** Registration for Summer Day Camp is by individual – not by the Pack.

Here is information regarding Resident Camping at Camp Bob Hardin:

Attached please find the flyer for the 2014 Webelos & Cub Resident Camp at CBH. There are two sessions to choose from: Session 1: July 13 – 16, Session 2: July 16 – 19. Webelos can work on lots of different Activity Badges (Geologist, Aquanaut, Naturalist, Readyman, Craftsman, Forester and Outdoorsman), and take part in other amazing activities (archery, BB gun, boating, hiking, and astronomy). Cubs can take part archery, geology, swimming, ultimate, BB gun, boating, hiking, astronomy, and map & compass. And of course, there is our incredible Wet Willie water slide and our awesome Staff!

Blue and Gold Banquet Tickets – Purchase Online

With the winter weather approaching, we want to make sure that everyone is able to purchase their Blue and Gold Banquet tickets by Thursday, February 13th in order to have the correct food count.  To help out, purchasing tickets will be available online this year.  You can use your credit card to order your tickets.

Tickets will be purchased using a service called Square, which you may have seen at various vendors and small shops.  It is a safe and reliable service.  For more information, contact Tim Cooper at tim@timothycooper.com , who will be the recipient of the payments.

When completing the order, be sure to include your son’s name and Den number so we can prepare tables appropriately.

If you have any questions, please contact Tim Cooper.  You can also mail in a check and paper form, also found on this website.

Registration is due by Thursday, February 13th!

Blue Gold Banquet


The Blue Gold Banquet gives us the opportunity each year to recognize our boys and their achievements in Scouting. This year’s Blue Gold Banquet will be held in Westminster Hall at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2014.

Those boys who have earned their Rank will be recognized with their parents to celebrate their hard work and commitment.

This year’s theme is "A Night at The Movies!" Each Den will decorate their tables according to the boys’ favorite movie – it should be fun to see which cinematic blockbusters make the cut!

Please review the attached Invitation and Reservation Form for this year’s dinner. I strongly urge you to PLEASE get your form and fee to Ms. Tamara Buie by the deadline of the 13th. Her contact info is on the Reservation Form. We MUST give the kitchen staff at WPC enough notice to prepare the correct amount of wonderful dinner for our group. Please let me know if payment is an issue, we want everyone to be included, but you MUST turn in a reservation form regardless.

The Blue Gold Banquet does not conclude the Scout Year – we have tons more fun activities in store this Spring – but it is a high point and not to be missed. I hope everyone plans to attend.

” to Help Other People…”

Pack 205 Scouts have been busy this month serving the less fortunate in Rock Hill:

During the annual Scouting For Food drive, Pack 205 had a total of 83 Scouts and Siblings and 68 Parents collect 1289 lbs. of non-perishable food items for the Care and Rescue Center of York County – a food ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Webelos I – Den 13 performed a Service Act by raking leaves and moving brush at The Pilgrim’s Inn – homeless women and children’s Shelter.

Six Scouts and Five Siblings with their Parents earned 28.5 Service Hours!

Hey Everybody!

Anybody tired who camped this weekend at Gold Rush? Yeah, me too. I hope everyone had a blast; the weather was super, the games were a lot of fun……

HUUUGE thanks to everyone who helped in the Kitchen!

A reminder of a few things coming up:

Tuesday, October 29th – 6:30pm – POPCORN TURN-IN NIGHT. All Scouts should be “Doing their Best” to sell popcorn to friends and family. All money and forms are to be turned in on October 29. Ms. Cristy Clack and Ms. Tracie Lewis will be present in the lobby area just outside the Chapel to receive your form and money. Please remember to make a copy of the form for yourself
Please remember to double check your math when totaling the amount sold
PLEASE remember to indicate the PRIZE your son selects – we want to make sure he gets his reward for his efforts.

Saturday, November 2nd – 9:00 am- Scouting For Food – BAGS OUT – we will distribute bags and flyers this day. We will meet in the lower parking lot of WPC facing India Hook Rd. Boys MUST be in Class A Uniform
This is a mandatory Service Project for all Pack 205 Scouts

All boys who did not receive their BOBCAT at last week’s Pack meeting need to be working on it diligently to receive it here.

Friday Night – Saturday, December 6-7 – EdVenture Overnight Experience at EdVenture Children’s Museum in Columbia Information and Medical Release forms are attached.
On the medical release form, please note you list the name of the Scout and the Parent or Guardian who will be attending with the Scout. The fee is $30 per person (so, $60 for a parent and Scout) Please mail forms and fees to me:
